| Dra. Bárbara Balbuena Gutiérrez. |
Head of Department of Folkloric dances. Faculty of Scenic Arts. Superior Arts Institute.
The assistant lecturer Bárbara Balbuena Gutiérrez has 24 years of professional experience. She began her higher Level studies at the National Arts School, graduating as a Teacher of Modern and Folkloric Dance (1978) and then she studied at the Superior Arts Institute graduating with an undergraduate degree in Dance Art with a specialty in Folkloric Dance (1991). She obtained a Masters of Arts Sciences degree in 2001 and a Doctorate of Arts Sciences degree in 2002.
During her professional trajectory, she has imparted the disciplines: Technique of the Modern Dance, Universal History of the Dance, Choreographic Composition, Cuban Dance Folklore, International Folklore, and Methodology of the Teaching of the Folkloric Dance, Educational Practice, History of the Cuban Dance Folklore and Analysis and Critic of the Dance.
She had several responsibilities: Assistant Dean of the Scenic Arts Faculty of ISA and currently she is the head of the Department of Folkloric Dance and coordinator of the Master degree in Art with a specialty in folkloric dance. She is also member of the Scientific Council of the ISA, of the Career Commission of the Scenic Arts Faculty and of the Commission of Scientific Degrees of the ISA. In the current, she is the general and artistic director of the Folkloric Ballet ISADANZA and member of the UNEAC.
This Professor has imparted different courses of trainings and postgrade in her specialty, tutorials to students from the department and several seminars of Arts Schools (Ballet and Dances) of technique of the Modern Dance, Choreography and Folkloric Dance. She has also advised different professional groups on theatre, ballet, dances, music and academic institutions of several levels. Since 1993 she has imparted international courses of Folkloric Dance and lecture on diverse topics of the Cuban Folklore.
She attended as choreographer in several National Festivals of the Schools of Ballet and Dances, obtaining three prizes to the best Presentation of Folkloric Dance. She has been a presenter at the National Pedagogic Days, Latin American Conference of the Artistic Teaching, Festivals of Folklore and other national and international events, obtaining prizes to different carried out research.
She has published the books "El Ireme Abakuá" (National Prize of Research.1996, "El Casino y La Salsa en Cuba" (Mention to the National Prize of Cultural Research.1998), “Las celebraciones rituales festivas en la Regla de Ocha” (the festive ritual celebrations in “ La Regla de ocha”) (National Prize of cultural Research. 2001), the essay "La ritualidad en las danzas de la Regla de ocha y las críticas danzarias” (The ritual in the dances of the Regla of Ocha and the dance critics) "Los retos AIKUNWA" (The challenges of AIKUNWA) and " El muerto parió al santo” (The dead gave birth to the saint). Dramaturgy (dramatic art) and dance creation.”
Among the awards she has received are:
- National Laureate of the Artistic and Literary Creation. (National Council of Culture.1985).
- Highlighted professor in the sphere of Research, whose work is the more utility in the Higher Studies Arts Institute. (Council of the Direction. ISA,1996).
- National Prize of Research of the Ministry of Culture and Center of Research and Development of Cuban Culture "Juan Marinello", with the book: El Ireme Abakuá. (April, 1997).
- Award of the Currency of the Guanabacoa´s Territory, by the Municipal assembly of Poder Popular, in recognition to the outstanding merits and the collaboration and promotion of the cultural movement of the Villa. (October, 1997).
- Research of more Social Contribution to the book: "El Casino y la Salsa en Cuba". Report of the Council of Direction, ISA. (1998).

Etián Antuche Almeida.
Graduated of National Arts School. Currently, he is a dance professor of the Vocational Art School “Pedro Raúl Sánchez” of Pinar del Río and he form part of the danza ¨DanzAire¨ Project from the Scenic Art Council.

In the year 05/06 attended the XXIII International Academic Conference and International Contest of Ballet of Havana. He danced in the reinstatement that was done by the Dutch choreographers Noortje Bojvoets and Feri de Geus of their recent production “El camino del agua” ("The way to the water") in Avellaneda´s Room of the National Theatre. He worked as advisory of corporal expression of the Dramatic Theatre Group "Rumbos" of Pinar del Río. Choreographed for the play "The Night" of Abilio Estevez that was performed by the Mascaras de Pinar del Rio theater group.
During the year 04/05 participated with the Show Company "Ballet Rakatán" in the delivering ceremony of the Prizes Cuba – Disco in the Theater Karl Marx.
I was invited to the 5to Latin American Festival " De todas partes” (“Of all parts") that was performed in Italy in the most important cities: Milan, Roma, Firenze, Cerdeña and Saint - Marteen (The Netherlands Antilles), to participate in the Musical Show "The Fantasy Island" choreographed by the North American Susha Brown, and performed in the Maho Theatre during four months.
Participated in the Homage ceremony that was performed to Sergio Vitier with dancers of the Cuban Contemporary Dance in the Lorca Room of the Great Theatre of Havana with choreography of the maítre Manolo Vázquez. Besides, I danced in the Festival: "Buscando la Canción Ecológica” (“Looking for the Ecological Song”) in the Theatre of Havana under the direction of the dancer and choreographer Regala Salvem. I danced with the Spanish Ballet of the Havana in the Festival "La Huella de España”, under the direction of Eduardo Veitía. I attended the 5to Festival of Dance in Urban Landscapes: "Old Havana, city in movement". Participated in the Limburg Festival where the show “Imagenes” (Image”) had its debut with choreography of Feri de Geus and Noortje Bijvoets ", taken place in Limburg, Holland. It extending the functions to cities of the south of France: Livron, Loriol, Valance....
Participated in the PerCuba Festival with a dance proposal that prepared “Escuela Autónoma de Danza (the Autonomous Dance School) of Moterrey,Mexico.
Received different workshops imparted by prestigious personalities of the culture. |

Ricardo Pedroso Alfonso
Birth Date: March 2, 1960
He graduated of the National Arts School in 1976. Dancer of Contemporary Cuban Dances. Professor evaluated and proposed for Meitre of the Company "Oro Negro" (Black Gold).
He imparts technique of the modern dance in the Dance Company “Oro Negro”, belonging to the Centre of Theatre and Dance of Havana.
During 6 months he has imparted Salsa courses in USA. At present, gives workshops on popular Cuban dances in the Rum Museum “Havana Club”.

Birth Date: August 21, 1980
Graduated of Contemporary Cuban dance of the Company “Narciso Medina” (June, 1997).
She worked during 10 years as professor and dancer at the Company “Narciso Medina”. She has imparted courses of popular Cuban dance in all the country and abroad. She attended international events in France, Granada, Canary Islands and EUA.She also performed in the Cuban TV and cinema, and collaborated with others Dancer Company. Currently, she imparted courses as teacher of “Bailar a lo cubano” Project in the Rum Museum “Havana Club”, under the direction of Paradiso, a National Agency of Artistic Tours.
